Chalkboard Nails by Ciate

Hello Everyone and welcome to Pink Polka Dotted! I am so excited to share with you the newest nail design kit by Ciate. Ciate is a UK nail polish company that creates very unique nail design kits and sells them at Sephora. They have a velvet, caviar, colored foil, sequin, and now chalkboard version. When I first saw this at my Sephora a few weeks ago, I loved the idea of being about to draw on my nails with chalk pens, so I just had to try this new set out. The idea of this one is very easy, you paint your nails with the chalkboard paint and wait for them to dry. Once they are fully dry, you can draw on them with the blue, pink, white, and yellow chalk pens. Make a mistake? Wash the chalk off with water. Once the design is perfect, you seal the chalk with the included topcoat.

I tried some different designs on my nails, but these three are the only ones that really worked out.  At first it was very hard to get the paint to come out, but once it started flowing it worked well. I think the stripes and polka dots worked the best for me. The kit comes with a book with different designs that are very inspirational and easy to do yourself. It is so much fun to be able to create different designs on each finger and the neon colors really pop against the black chalk background. If you want to try out the chalkboard manicure for yourself, it costs $25 and you can find it in Sephora stores and Sephora.com. Have you tried Ciate’s chalkboard nails or any of their other kits? Let me know what you think about them in the comments below.

XOXO
